BUTTER CHICKEN | PUNJABI STYLE
BUTTER CHICKEN
Butter chicken is probably one of the best known Indian Dishes after tandoori and tikka masala. Its a superb blend of spices and the result is mouth watering.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken
- vegetable oil
- onions
- ginger and garlic paste
- butter 100g & 3 tbs pouring cream
- corriander
- lemon juice for marination
- garam masala
- chilli powder
- coriander seeds
- cumin seeds
- whole cloves 4-5
- cinnamon sticks small size
- cardamom
- bay leafs
- yogurt
lets start cooking
- Mix lemon juice, yogurt,garam masala, chilli powder cumin seed and coriander seed together in a bowl and mix the chicken pieces well and keep it a side for 1 hour.
- Roast whole cloves, cinnamon stick,cardamom bay leaves until golden brown in color.
- Heat the oil in a large pan. fry onions along with ginger garlic paste until brownish in color
- The add chicken pieces , leave the marinade mix aside.
- stir fry the chicken until its white.
- Then add Roasted mixture of dry spices(whole cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom, bay leaves).
- add butter and cream reducing the flame to low heat, stir for few min and garnish well with coriander leaves
- serve hot along with rice or roti.
